The Summoners War trick that I’m about to discuss has everything to do with monsters that you could easily find. Let us focus our attention on strong 2 star monsters that are typically undermined. Unknown to Summoners War players, these monsters are actually very good especially if awakened. Moreover, a combination of these monsters make them even more capable, individually and as a team.
Top 5 2 Star Monsters in Summoners War
Hellhound (Fire) ★★ – Awakens to Sieq
This is one less your farming list as everyone gets the Hellhound Fire when you start to play Summoners War. Players refer to him as the glass cannon due to his strong attack but weak defense. Nevertheless, he is a decent monster that has a good bite. In addition, the Hellhound Fire actually gets significantly better and stronger through awakening. Do not be fooled by it being just a 2 star monster at the beginning.
Keep leveling him up and feed him hellhounds that you find along the way to upgrade his skills. When ready, awaken him. Sieq (awakened form) has a good skill that comes with the awakening. The additional skill called “Begin Hunt” is a group buff. It increases the Attack Power and Critical Rate of the whole team for three rounds.
- Fatal/Blade(Atk%/Crit D%/Atk%) – Early game
- Blade x3(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) – Early game
- Rage/Blade(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) – Early game (focus on runes that maximize critical damage)
- Swift/Blade(Spd/Atq%/Atq%) – Mid/Late game
- Violence/Blade(Spd/CR%/Atq%) – Late game
Howl (Water) ★★ – Awakens to Lulu
The good news is 2 star monsters are easy to find. You would usually encounter the water Howl even without looking for it. Nevertheless, should you have trouble finding her, chek the shop and summon Unknown Scrolls. If that still doesn’t help, head on to Hydena where she’s a chance drop. What makes this monster a good is that she has three different healing skills. She is even better than the water fairy you get at the beginning. Because the water Howl is capable of healing individual monsters and all allies at once. Furthermore, she can remove debuffs of any kind; even heal blocking debuffs. Furthermore,
Of course, keep leveling her up if you want to maximize her capabilities. Feed her Howls as well to level up her skills. When awakened to Lulu, the water Howl becomes even stronger as a healer. She can be the standalone healer for your whole team and you will likely survive. That depends on the situation, though. More often than not, she can actually support the team through her healing.
- Energy x 3(Hp%/Hp%/Hp%) – Early game players
- Violent + Other below (Spd/Hp%/Hp%) – Late game players
- You can use Def% or Res% instead of HP%.
- The secondary rune set is flexible, chose among Revenge, Nemesis, Will, Energy, Guard, and Endure.
Garuda (Water) ★★ – Awakens to Konamiya
Looking for a Garuda should not be so hard. Just like any other 2 star monster, you could likely find him in the Shop or by summoning Unknown Scrolls. Same as the awakened Garuda of Light, Teon, the water Garuda also has Resurge. A skill that makes battles easier and versatile.
Leveling up the water Garuda must be your next priority. Then, move on to feeding him other Garudas so his skill would level up. With maxed out skill and awakened, the Konamiya performs superbly as a healer. Players often prefer Konamiya to Lulu due to his skill called Peace. This skill removes all harmful effects and debuffs on all allies. In addition, the Peace skill also restores 15% of all allies’ HP.
- Swift/Energy (Spd/Hp%/Acc%) – Early game
- Violent/Energy (Spd/Hp%/Acc%) – Late game 1
- Violent/Energy (Spd/Hp%/Hp%) – Late game 2
Pixie (Wind) ★★ – Awakens to Shannon
This 2 star monster is a personal favorite of mine. The wind Pixie had gotten me through so many battles while I was using her. I even upgraded her up to 5 stars. If you don’t have her yet, you could find her for sale in the Magic Shop at times. Unknown scrolls also produce her. Pixie of wind has great attack power and a viable support to allies. When awakened, she could actually shine through difficult levels. Especially when paired up with the awakened wind Griffon, Bernard.
Do not hesitate to level up, awaken and upgrade this monster. When skills are maxed out, this Pixie can attack and defend well. However, once you awaken her as Shannon, she is capable of outperforming a Natural 3 or 4-star monster. It is not a waste to upgrade her to a five star or even six stars. That is how good she is.
- Energy(Hp%/Hp%/Hp%) – Early game
- Swift/Focus(Spd/Hp%/Acc%) – Full Support, focus in debuff. Perfect for Giants.
- Swift/Energy(Hp%/Hp%/Acc%) – More survivability
Warbear (Wind) ★★ – Awakens to Ramagos
Like other 2 star monsters, getting the Warbear of wind is not that hard. Check the shop as he is sometimes for sale. Your best bet is to summon Unknown Scrolls for a chance to get him. This monster will seem a little misplaced in the two-star category due to its potential. The wind Warbear is an HP monster that is equipped with an incredible skill like no other. You may even be surprised to find awakened Warbears still used to this day by max level players.
The strategy for the Warbear is the same – level up, upgrade and awaken. Upgrade the Warbear fast; using him will be a huge advantage even without awakening. Ramagos, the wind Warbear’s awakened form, is a completely different story. He acquires a new skill that inflicts damage equivalent to the HP he lost. The Clean Shot could kill high-level monsters with just one hit. Even better, if the enemy dies, Ramagos gets another turn. So load him up with HP runes.
- Energy(Hp%/Hp%/Hp%) – Early game
- Energy x2/Endure(Hp%/Hp%/Resist%) – Early/mid game for arena defense
